About the Position: The incumbent will serve as an Organizational Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM-O) in the SDDC G6 Cybersecurity Branch. The incumbent will manage and administer the Risk Management Framework program within the Headquarters for Transportation Business Systems and the SDDC HQ installation Campus Area Network.

Duties

Manage SDDC’s Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS) records. Maintain individual user records within ATCTS for all elevated/privileged level computer users, ensuring each user has obtained the required training, certification, and documentation to maintain their account. Review risk assessments and analyzes impact of potential vulnerabilities. Lead efforts for security certification and accreditation processes to ensure compliance with relevant standards. Provide expert advice and consultation on security matters to various departments and commands. Contribute to the development and implementation of a robust security governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures. Implement and manage encryption solutions to protect data at rest, in transit, and during processing. Manage classified spillage events and coordinates cleanup and reporting efforts within the command. Ensure training and certifications are current and visible in the Army Training and Certification Tracking System .

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
  • This position mandates completing training and obtaining DoD Publication 8570.01-M certification within six months. Failure to comply may result in termination.
