About the Position: Kimbrough is the headquarters of the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC), Fort George G. Meade, includes a number of U.S. Army health clinics, occupational health clinics, telemedicine, behavioral health, allergen extract lab, drug testing labs, and environmental health clinics at several installations in MD, PA, VA, & D.C. Kimbrough provides primary care, selected specialty care & same day surgery for TRICARE Prime patients.
Duties
Track status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.
Ensure stock will be coming in a timely manner with sufficient quantity and resolve any problems.
Assemble the contract file information and enter purchase orders and contract data into the automation supply systems.
Monitor prime vendor performance and recommend solutions to the contracting representative.
Conducts supply and demand studies to determine and forecast inventory.
Recommends actions to eliminate problems involved in delivering services to supply customers.
Determines the quantity of items and funds required to provide materiel support.
Plans and initiates action to distribute and/or dispose of items in excess.
Ensures adequate stock levels are maintained.
Provide technical assistance in the research and reconciliation of financial problems pertaining to logistical actions.
Serve as the point of contact for the exchange of information, planning, coordinating or advising.
Prepare and organize information for special reports, memoranda and correspondence.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 Security Investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position requires the completion of pre-employment physical examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Tracking the status of requisitions, contracts, and ordering of supplies for a medical treatment facility (MTF); Utilize automated systems such as the Defense Medical Logistics Support System (DMLSS) to pull reports, track orders, and procure medical supplies; Communicate with other procurement, medical, and directorate personnel within the medical treatment facility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
