Duties

Provides the Commanding General, US Army Pacific with sustainment / increases in personal readiness and resilience for both Soldiers and Civilians by providing empirically-based options related to the Ready and Resilient (R2). Responsible for coordinating and planning, organizing and implementing comprehensive health promotion and wellness through the facilitation and oversight of the US Army Pacific's (USARPAC) Community Health Promotion Council (UCHPC) process. Is the key advisor to the Commander / Commanding General's health promotion efforts to integrate, synchronize and focus efforts, and assess R2 improvements, Health of the Force (HoF), and Community Health Promotion Council (CHPC) outcomes. Receive and execute guidance under the general supervision of the HQ USARPAC G-1 for the Commanding General USARPAC. Accomplish the R2 mission with the support in partnership with Army Public Health Center (APHC) and IMCOM Pacific.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes gathering readiness data from multiple sources (Commander Critical Information Requirements (CCIRs), Serious Incident Reports (SIRs), Military Police Blotters, and other commander reports); preparing and conducting analysis and briefings on ready and resilient program status and programs such as negative and positive behaviors, trends, environmental considerations, etc.; and leading/participating in studies/working groups to improve ready and resilient programs and services, and the readiness of the military and civilian workforce. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accident InvestigationOral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
