You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the FST Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will lead a team in implementing project plans to meet logistics objectives.
You will brief management and sponsors on aircraft systems logistics related information.
You will establish the work schedules, deadlines, and standards for acceptable levels of logistic related work.
You will assign work to logistics management specialists based on priorities, consideration of assignment difficulty and requirements, and the employee's capabilities to accomplish assignments.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Coordinating Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation, ensuring proper preparation, development and application of Naval Air Systems Command and higher authority policies and procedures; 2) Defining problems and develops solutions for issues to be addressed in ILS plans and ensure compliance with policies or recommends new ones; 3) Reviewing attainment of program objectives to identify and correct deficiencies in established ILS programs; 4) Coordinating logistics support for all active configurations of assigned systems, utilizing appropriate software models, tools and techniques to assist in optimizing life cycle logistics costs and to achieve cost-wise readiness improvements; 5) Analyzing results of evaluations and prepares proposed responses, corrective actions and changes to ILS plans; 6) Providing headquarters briefings to top military commanders and civilian managers as part of problem definition and resolution analyses, provide logistic guidance and direction to decision makers involved with acquisition, development or modifications of aircraft weapons systems, subsystems and associated equipment.
