Serves as the Enterprise Architect for the Civil Division responsible for creating, overseeing, and defining the operations, processes, and information for the enterprise business architecture. You will be responsible for interpreting Federal and Department level policy, participating in draft policy review and comment activities, and ensuring that the Division remains in compliance with established policies.
This is not a remote location position.
Duties
As a GS- 2210-14, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Serving as the technology advisor for the Division, responsible for overseeing the activities associated with technology compliance reviews to assess the overall effectiveness of technology program implementation across the Division.
Serving as a senior expert and consultant to the Civil Division Assistant CIO to advise on integrating IT programs with other programs of equivalent scope and complexity.
Serving as an expert in all matters related to acquisition, installation, support, and implementation of Wide Area Network systems, and applications.
Providing leadership in the conduct of independent validations and verifications of agency-wide or multi-agency applications software prior to final acceptance. This includes the development of quality assurance measurement criteria.
Conducting analyses and managing projects to ensure architectures and standards support process reengineering, system modernization and investment management as part of an overall integration process and methodology.
Developing the architecture repository for all business processes to ensure a seamless implementation and adoption of defined future state architectures. Designing and developing architecture activity process models to support usability, interoperability and standardization.
Overseeing the migration of systems to the production environment and monitors for stability, accuracy, and performance. Meeting with vendor technical representatives to resolve technical issues, and to implement and coordinate new releases.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of IT Specialist (Enterprise Architecture)at GS-2210-14 , you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level as listed in the qualifications below. Time-in-Grade applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF-50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).
To qualify for the GS-14 Information Technology Specialist (Enterprise Architecture) position, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service which involves experience in enterprise architecture development that aligns information technology strategies, plans, and systems with the mission, goals, structure and processes of the organization; serves as a recognized technical authority for new and advanced computer systems software; provides expert analytical, technical and management advice for the development and integration of organization-wide policies, plans, architectures, standards and programs for information technology management and information interoperability.
