Duties
There are two positions located under the Office of Enforcement Programs and Services (EPS), National Firearms Act Division, Government Support Branch (GSB) in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
The Division plans, develops, coordinates, administers and evaluates policies, programs, systems and procedures to provide for the regulation of the firearms and explosives industries, as required by the Gun Control Act of 1968, as amended; the Safe Explosives Act of 2003; the Arms Export Control Act of 1976; Title XI of the Organized Crime Control Act of 1970, as amended; the regulation of commerce in National Firearms Act (NFA) weapons; or for the administration and collection of the Special Occupational Tax for NFA.

Qualifications
To qualify for GS-13, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience is:
Providing technical advice on the importation of firearms and ammunition, explosives and firearms licensing programs, or the manufacture, transfer and exportation of National Firearms Act (NFA) weapons; AND
Drafting written replies; AND
Utilizing databases and/or files on license and/or permits of firearms and explosives; AND
Developing new and/or amending regulations on internal procedures and forms.
