This position is located at the Community Activities Center Private Party Bar.
This is a "Flexible" position (0-40 hours) with no eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans.
Duties
Sets up bars for operation. Assures an adequate stock level is maintained.
Skill in mixing drinks using alcoholic beverages, beer and soda. Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff. Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons.
Keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary.
Provides face-to-face customer service in a fast-paced environment. Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons.
Applies simple arithmetic in calculating bills and making change. Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
- Must meet state/local age requirements (21) for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position.
- Must be able to work during the hours of operation to include nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Hours are intermittent and require availability during the afternoon and evening hours. This position does not have a set shift/ schedule.
- Working conditions are primarily indoors. Exposed to cuts and bruises.
Qualifications
Qualification Requirements are:
Meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment.
Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds.
Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
Highly Qualified candidates will have the following:
Possess at least 1 year of bartending experience
Possess an ABC (Alcohol Beverage Commission) Certification
**Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others will be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list**
