This SUPV HR SPEC is located in a State Human Resources Office that has responsibility for servicing both Army and Air National Guard full-time personnel and is part of the CA JFHQ J1 HRO.

Duties

THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the SUPV HR SPEC, GS-0201-12, is to serve as a supervisor of Human Resources Specialist(s) and Human Resources Assistant(s). Supervises a minimum of five full-time employees. Supervises two or more other major segments e.g. classification, recruitment and placement, employee relations, labor relations, etc. Serves as a Human Resources advisor and technical specialist for one specific HR specialty.

Qualifications

SUPV HR SPEC, GS-0201-12: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experiencing providing management advisory services to all levels of management of situations regarding Human Resources services; Experience managing the overall labor relations issues in a state with diverse labor organizations and a high level of labor activity; Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
