About the Position: This position is with Defense Health Agency. It is located within Directorate of Resource Management at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center; Fort Gordon, GA. The primary purpose of this position is performing a variety of budgetary, administrative, and statistical functions to support budget formulation and execution.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
Duties
Performs a variety of budgetary, administrative, and statistical functions to support budget formulation and execution of the AMC.
Serves as the functional point of contact for day-to-day budget/financial issues as the Defense Travel System (DTS) Administrator/Financial Administrator (DTA/DTFA).
Serves as Agency Program Coordinator (APC) for EAMC, with overall responsibility for managing the budgetary and administrative aspects of temporary duty travel (TDY).
Ability to use a computer (PC) for office automation; input data using software systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), the Defense Travel System (DTS).
Creates and maintains the AO's budget by loading funding targets in the DTS budget module, create monitor DTS accounting labels and lines of accounting (LOA) and updating as required for recording and tracking budgetary transactions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certification to be obtained and maintained within 24 months of being hired.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing various accounting, budget or financial management support; extracting, compiling and verifying cost data; managing and maintaining the execution of the Government Purchase Card (GPC) and Defense Travel System (DTS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
