This position is located in the Headquarters, Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), Infrastructure Support Group, IT Directorate, Program Management Office (IS/PMO), Enterprise Business System (EBS) Functional Core Team. The incumbent serves as a business advisor and accomplishes a wide range of other essential duties to support the success of the Agency's implementation of any EBS Increment.

Duties

Serves as a business advisor and accomplishes a wide range of other essential duties to support the success of the Agency's implementation of any EBS Increment. The incumbent will serve as a change advocate for the increment. Responsible for assisting the Increment Managers with ensuring that the increment software and hardware is fully deployed, implemented, and functioning. Monitors incidents and problems, and undertake problem management during release and deployment and coordinate with the Increment Manager. This position offers promotion potential to a higher grade. To prepare you for the higher grade, work assignments will be progressively more complex. After meeting all qualifications and requirements for the next grade level and with your supervisor's recommendation, you may be promoted without further competition. However, promotion is neither guaranteed nor automatic. Read the entire announcement before starting the application process.

Qualifications

You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume (and/or transcript if necessary) must clearly show that you have the qualifications described below. You can use experience, education, or a combination of experience and education to qualify. When using education to meet qualifications you must submit transcripts. See Required Documents for more information. Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 grade level. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Examples of qualifying experience include: Understands contracting, category management, pricing and promotions, customer relations management and planogramming. Conducts business studies and analyses of data and processes relating to the implementation of any Agency EBS Increment. Applies complex fact-finding, analytical, and problem solving methods and techniques. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related OR Combination of experience and education. To calculate the combination, divide your total months of experience by 12, then divide your graduate level semester hours by the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study or 18 and add the two percentages. If the total is 100%, you meet the minimum qualifications through a combination of experience and education. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Additional Requirements that must be met by the closing date: Time-in-grade applies to the promotion of current and former federal employees who hold or have held a permanent GS position in either the competitive or excepted service in the previous 52 weeks, including current employees applying under VEOA. Time after competitive appointment.
