Duties
Serves as the Director, Administrative and Legislative Affairs in the Headquarters (HQ), Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), Office of the Director/Chief Executive Officer(CEO) location. The primary purpose of this position serves as the Director's representative with all government entities, defense advocacy groups and trade associations.
Position responsibilities include:
Providing in-depth research/analysis capability to the Command Group
Coordinating with the Executive Officers to the Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) as well as matters of importance to the Agency's executive leadership.
Communicating and tracking Command-generated projects and actions to ensure accountability and appropriate follow-through
Briefing content management on a broad array of key issues
Coordinating other critical functional support issues as necessary
Requirements

To qualify for this position you must possess One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-14 grade level that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To be creditable, specialized experience must be at GS-14 or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

You must also meet the following requirements by the announcement closing date:
Current and former federal employees in either the competitive or excepted service and current federal employees applying under VEOA eligibility are subject to time-in-grade. You must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade level to be eligible for promotion. See the Required Documents section to learn what documents are necessary to show you meet this requirement. The next lower grade level for this position is GS-14.
Current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest non temporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate, known as time after competitive appointment.
