Serves as the Director, Administrative and Legislative Affairs in the Headquarters (HQ), Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), Office of the Director/Chief Executive Officer(CEO) location. The primary purpose of this position serves as the Director's representative with all government entities, defense advocacy groups and trade associations.
Duties
Providing in-depth research/analysis capability to the Command Group
Coordinating with the Executive Officers to the Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) as well as matters of importance to the Agency's executive leadership.
Communicating and tracking Command-generated projects and actions to ensure accountability and appropriate follow-through.
Briefing content management on a broad array of key issues.
Coordinating other critical functional support issues as necessary.

Requirements

- This position requires approximately 20% travel, utilizing military and commercial aircraft or land transportation in the performance of officially assigned duties.
- This position requires access to DeCA's business systems and is designated as IT Level II. Duties involved are especially critical to the Agency's mission with a broad scope of responsibility, demanding the highest degree of public trust.

To qualify for this position you must possess One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-14 grade level that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To be creditable, specialized experience must be at GS-14 or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.
