About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.

Duties

Leads a team of personnel in performing supply duties. Uses Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system knowledge to advise team on performing inventory management duties. Utilizes supply system experience to advise team when conducting root-cause analysis to resolve discrepancies in ERP system during government property reconciliation. Utilizes expertise to advise team to track all physical assets by managing, regulating, coordinating, or exercising control over supplies, equipment, or other material property and assets. Influences system design by evaluating inventory planning principles to the supply support plan which will allow the Program/Product Manager's to provide timely, affordable, effective, and best-value product support throughout the system life cycle. Supports the planning, development, implementation, and management of effective and affordable product support strategies for inventory supply planning throughout the life cycle for weapons and materiel or information systems. Supports the weapon system manager in the development and documentation of the inventory planning for the supply support strategy, in applicable documentation, in accordance with policy and regulatory guidance. Ensures the command's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, and work products. Researches, learns, and applies wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze, and improve team effectiveness, efficiency, and work products.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • One-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security clearance.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.

Experience performing inventory management tasks to include directing inventory distribution and disposal actions. Experience conducting root cause analysis to resolve discrepancies within the Logistics Modernization Program Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Experience communicating both written and orally to respond to inquiries and give briefings and presentations. Experience interpreting guidance to investigate inventory-related discrepancies and takes appropriate action.
