As a Building Services Specialist, you will be responsible for serving as the technical specialist/advisor for all construction, mechanical, and other building service related needs.
Location of position: Region 4, PBS, Blue Ridge Service Center Div, Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC or Columbia, SC.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
The duty location of this position is in the Public Buildings Service (PBS) Blue Ridge Service Center (R4), Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC or Columbia, SC. The incumbent will be expected to report to the designated GSA facility daily/regular basis.
Requirements

- Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
- Register with Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license

The GS-12 salary range starts at $86,962 per year dependant upon location you are selected for.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify for the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience performing complex operational planning to direct and control daily operations overseeing and ensuring the execution of quality assurance programs for the assigned territory managing work performed by a staff who performs technical and analytical work applying diverse knowledge of highly complex and varied commercial building/facilities operational and maintenance systems and equipment. This experience must include: Developing, implementing, evaluating, and analyzing energy procedures and guidance related to the efficiency of commercial office buildings.
