You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the READINESS BRANCH OF INFORMATION MANEUVER DIVISION (IMD), DEPUTY COMMANDANT FOR INFORMATION (DC I) of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Duties

You will serve as a program analyst performing tasks to develop, analyze, evaluate, and advise on or enhance the effectiveness of organizational structures and procedures by recommending utilization of money, manpower and material resources. You will be responsible for military Information Maneuver (IM) Occupational Field manpower and training as they relate to the Marine Corps' Human Resources Development Process (HRDP) in the information functional area. You will be required to represent DC I at a variety of venues involving senior officials from the Marine Corps and other services, Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and other USG agencies. You will analyze, evaluate, and integrate technical and non-technical data from multiple sources to assess the relevance and significance of developments in his/her assigned area. You will prepare new or modify previous management analyses, assessments, or other products by applying expert judgment and ingenuity in interpreting information and providing recommendations or making decisions.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Security SCI clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Interfacing with service training and education organizations to develop, integrate and deliver training requirements and solutions to support Information Forces and meet professional development goals; developing, analyzing, evaluating, and advising on or enhancing the effectiveness of organizational structures; reviewing of and inputting unit manning documents and table of organization change requests.
