About the Position: Serves as a Supply Technician responsible for duties and administration of the supply program. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 0730 - 1600 at Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Moore, GA. This position will require the individual to supervise other supply clerk(s) and supply tech(s) in the department.
Duties
Develop plans and procedures for improving processes or correcting deficiencies of supply operations.
Perform supply activities such as receiving, storing, transferring, and issuing supply items.
Review demand history for stocked items for determining appropriate requisitioning objectives.
Ensure materials purchased are at the best price and meet clinic needs.
Provide technical direction, assigns tasks, and ensures work for assigned supply clerks and supply techs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a hepatitis screening.
- This position may require the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing pending requirements established by the command.
- This position requires incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing standard operating procedures for supply support; assisting with the property book or hand receipts; and setting priorities or deadlines for supply inventory or tasks within a medical facility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
