About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Analyzes and interprets relevant supply planning policy to ensure established objectives are met.
Plans, develops, implements, and manages effective and affordable product supply support strategies throughout the life cycle for weapons, materiel, or information systems, as addressed in applicable policy/regulatory guidance.
Evaluates target stock and safety levels produced by statistical models by weighing priorities established by Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) and Command senior leaders.
Evaluates and synthesizes analysis provided to resolve complex supply planning issues involving processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day operational procedures for assigned secondary items.
Plans scenarios to mitigate supply chain risk, developing options to allow for differing or conflicting program requirements and cover multiple supply objectives, including inventory management for assigned commodities.
Develops, when guidelines for performing the work are scarce or of limited use, guides followed by supply specialists or other staff personnel within the organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security clearance.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized Experience: Experience performing inventory management tasks to include validating supply forecasts and managing excess inventory. Experience conducting root cause analysis to resolve discrepancies within the Logistics Modernization Program Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Experience communicating both written and orally to respond to inquiries and give briefings and presentations. Experience interpreting guidance to investigate inventory-related discrepancies and takes appropriate action
The Control Point for this position is equivalent to GS-13 step 5 at $133,692 including locality at the rate of 33.26%. Management will set the selectee's pay for this position within the control point salary range consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position or if the incumbent's salary currently exceeds the GS-13 step 05 level the incumbent' s salary will be put on a salary control point at the incumbents existing salary.
