You will serve as a Technical Project Manager in the Fleet Readiness Department of Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport, WA (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA). This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.

Duties

You will interface with Customer Agents to establish project requirements, deliverables, cost, and schedules to meet customer requirements. You will determine the most effective execution framework and strategy and establish project plans for technical execution. You will establish general principles and policies for the agency, including discretion to plan, budget, schedule, direct work, and implement programs. You will direct distribution of funding to line organizations for technical execution as established in Project plans. You will report status and project performance health metrics to senior management in regards to overall cost, schedule and performance. You will develop and monitor technical metrics for assigned output area, and work with senior line managers to assure technical health of Division core capabilities. You will negotiate and accept work assignments for programs, accept and manage varied funding documents and types of funding, negotiate new tasking with internal and external customers, and independently pursue workload development initiatives. You will serve as the focal point for customer relationship management for assigned programs and speak for the organization in making workload commitments.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:Devising technical solutions for complex technical challenges for many different customers simultaneously.
