This position serves in the capacity of Program Support Assistant (OA) to the Chief Medical Officer at the Kona Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) provided administrative management of program and processes.

Duties

As the Program Support Assistant (OA), you will: Provide support for a wide variety of administrative tasks within the service such as validating, assisting, advising, and consulting with administrative services on such matters as personnel, equipment, administration, maintenance, disaster preparedness, safety programs, and workload reports for the Clinic Analyze Clinic workflow to determine potential problem areas and make recommendations to improve coordination between various sections Identify and recommend ways of eliminating, combining, simplifying, or improving procedures and processes with the Clinic and Service Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4pm Position Description Title/PD#: Program Support Assistant (OA)/PD02272-O Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; or driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Typing Proficiency Requirement: This position requires the skills of a qualified typist. You must be able to type at least 40 words per minute. If you do meet this requirement, you will NOT receive further consideration. -AND- Minimum Qualification Requirement: In addition to the Typing Proficiency Requirement (above), you must meet the Specialized Experience statement below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: 1) Collect, compile, manage and report program data; 2) Analyze data and information from various sources to identify problems, discrepancies, trends, patterns, gaps, opportunities, and recommendations for process improvements; 3) Utilize various software applications and information systems is essential for carrying out office automation tasks, compiling data and reports, and resolving technical issues; and 4) Ensure full compliance with all purchase card requisites, reconciling transactions, and resolves any inconsistencies with appropriate office. NOTE: Your resume MUST include the following information for each applicable work and/or volunteer history to receive credit: 1) Salary (i.e., annual, hourly, or Volunteer); 2) Hours per week; and 3) MM/YY to MM/YY Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

There is no educational substitution for the GS-07 level.
