About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command 500th Military Intelligence Brigade 715th Military Intelligence Battalion Office of S3.

Duties

Serve as a Training Specialist Electronic Warfare (EW) who is a recognized authoritative consultant in all areas relating to EW operations and training. Serve as a subject matter expert in Electronic Warfare theory and application, including acquisition, analysis/interpretation, and exploitation in order to develop courseware/curriculum and facilitate operational training. Verify all Army EW training is in line with Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) policies and procedures. Maintain work relationships with personnel in a wide variety of elements throughout the EW community.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 of AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 25% or less of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks. [Military Affairs Desk Officer (MADO) Security In-Processing (SIP) process.]
