Duties

Work with minimal supervision and exercises independent judgment to plan, organize, direct, manage, and implement the organization’s training and leader development requirements. Brief recommended courses of action (COA) to the affected levels of command for decision. Develops, coordinates, staffs and publishes training related products in support of leader training and development. Proactively identifies new training and leader development guidance, directives, or changes to meet JPMRC, Department of the Army (DA), TRADOC, and USARPAC requirements. Transition as the TADSS subject matter expert on major systems during the execution of training, coordinating and supervising all contact team support require for JPMRC accomplishment of its mission. Coordinate with DA Program Executive Offices (PEO) to conduct research and analysis on DA-approved TADSS that can potentially support the command’s training and leader development programs. Coordinate with and provides command guidance to brigades, the supporting contracting office and the vendor to develop the command’s order of merit list (OML), fielding plan and New Equipment Training (NET) plan for TADSS. Monitor unit’s performance to ensure they are conducting training sessions in accordance with Army standards; ensures procedures are followed. Provide monthly and quarterly status on, equipment, and training readiness utilizing the current DA-approved web-based reporting system (NetUSR). Respond to inquiries, taskers, and requests for information on CCIR, SIR and NetUSR from higher and subordinate commands and staff as required. Conduct training: Teaches assigned training and operations for TADSS devices and Player Unit Radios (PUR) used for JPMRC exercises.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes providing training and certifying of new operators, annual certification, quality assurance of trained operators; tracking re-certification of all unit operators; and analyzing training and development needs to adjust instructional methods on training aids and devices.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
