Duties

Serve as Instructor/operator for Virtual Training Aids Devices Simulators and Simulations (TADSS). Serve as subject matter expert on TADSS training issues. Operate simulators and various components of the TADSS program to support training, provide virtual support and services. Provide recommendations on format and design for classroom materials or briefing items. Provide technical and administrative assistance, advice and guidance for training program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position may require the incumbent to lift 5-50 pounds.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes teaching or training students on military simulator and simulation devices, modifying training guides and visual aids to meet student's needs, analyzing training and development needs to adjust instructional methods on training aids and devices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, Education. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Applies Technology to TasksAttention to DetailCommunications and MediaEducation and Training Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
