The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the LGF Technical Management Specialist in the Material Support Division technical focal point for commodity Comprehensive Air Force Technical Order Plan (CAF'TOP) management, Unit Under Test manager, Parts Obsolescence Program Specialist.
Duties
Responsibleforestablishingandcontrollingpolicies/procedures forthe technicalOrder's managed byLGF,F-16 Operations Division.
Review part number request packages, reviews the part number requests to ensure that it is valid IAW with Technical Order (TO) and ensures that it has the correct Source Maintenance Recoverability (SMR) code assigned.
Serve as the manager for UUT software maintenance for items managed by the LGF Supply Chain Manager.
Serves as the lead Deficiency Reporting (DR) System Manager.
Serve as the LGF Program Manager for REMIS. Serve to provide REMIS policy, procedural guidance, and training to LGF Equipment Specialists.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes Exceptional analytical ability in devising solutions to problems or unusual difficulty, inconsonance with basic trends and current developments in governmental management procedures and changing logistics concepts and in visualizing the effect of changes recommended is required; good understanding of product directorate responsibilities and functions particularly in the technical environment; comprehensive knowledge of organizations and other logistics regulations and procedures applicable to logistics requirements is required to ensure compliance with existing laws and regulations; extensive knowledge of requirements, procedures, computational methodology, and factor criterial; knowledge of the Technical Order System and procedures. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. Due to the use of 120 day rosters, applicants within 120 days of completion of TIG requirements are encouraged to apply.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of DOD, USAF, AFMC, OO-ALC and other logistics regulations and procedures applicable to logistics requirements to ensure compliance with existing laws and regulations.
Incumbent must have in-depth knowledge of the D200 RMS/API system and must be able to resolve technical issues and problems associated with D200 system; must also provide training to equipment specialists on D200 RMS/API system.
Knowledge of the USAG Technical Order system and procedures (i.e.T.O.; 00-5-1 and AFMC Manual 21-1).
Incumbent must have in-depth knowledge of the REMIS system and must be able to input/extract REMIS (i.e. TCTO tracking data, MTBF data, R&M data, etc.) in an effective manner.
In-depth knowledge of Aircraft Electronics and Avionics Equipment Specialist functions to be familiar with aircraft electronics items.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is sedentary and is usually accomplished while the employee is comfortably seated at a desk or table. Some walking, standing and carrying of light objects may occur in the course of a normal workday. No special physical effort is required to perform the work. On occasions, the employee is required to hand carry a large quantity of documents for distribution.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed indoors in an environment involving everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices or meeting rooms. The area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Travel and overtime may be required to accomplish assigned duties. Military or commercial aircraft may require travel.
