These positions are located in the Maintenance Division at George Washington Memorial Parkway in Arlington, Virginia
Duties
Utilize a variety of materials, tools, and equipment associated with the repair and maintenance of structures and grounds.
Perform minor plumbing repairs of limited difficulty such as tightening or replacing in-kind fittings and fixtures.
Perform minor carpentry repairs of limited difficulty to buildings and quarters. Construct, install, repair and replace such items as doors, shelves, supply racks, hardware, frame structures, windows, trim and cabinets.
Perform routine maintenance at different sites and visitor facilities, to include cleaning restrooms, and making minor repairs as needed.
Receive, unload and process incoming shipments according to established procedures, and report discrepancies and damage to others responsible for such items.
May perform other duties such as painting, masonry work, roofing, welding, or assisting higher grade workers with maintenance of utility systems in the facility.
Operate a light truck to pick up supplies and to transport materials to and from work sites. To include snow removal

Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.
Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)
Use of Measuring Instruments
Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprinting reading)
Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
Knowledge of Materials
