Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level defined as coordinating projects or programs; facilitating event or project logistics; and gathering and analyzing programmatic data for reports.
To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as planning and coordinating projects or programs; managing and advising on event or project logistics; and making recommendations to increase program efficiency.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Ability to develop recommendations to increase program efficiency; 2) Ability to analyze programmatic data; 3) Skill in project management; 4) Skill in program planning; 5) Ability to utilize analysis to make recommendations to management; 6) Skill in strategic planning; 7) Skill in written communication; 8) Skill in oral communication.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
