You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the Public Works Business Line (PWBL), Resources and Assessment Division (PW1) of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will coordinate work projects with other work units to manage workload. You will advise personnel in performance of Supply Division duties to improve unit production or increase unit work quality. You will advise organizational leadership in the development of solutions for confronting irregular challenges. You will monitor inventory to prepare reports using supply database programs. You will coach team members in the application of problem-solving methods. You will address questionable Government Purchase Card purchases to ensure purchases are not made that are unauthorized or made without following the guidelines for mandatory sources.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Oversees all aspects of supply chain management using a broad knowledge of the Federal supply program; 2) Leads teams of buyers utilizing GCPC, MILSTRIP, and SAP or similar to procure material; 3) Leads a team that manages a material processing warehouse; and 4) Leads a team that oversees shop stores conducting receipting/issuing material, inventory tracking and auditing of material operations.
