Duties

You will implement physical security policy and procedures involving access to buildings, spaces and areas. You will contribute to the safety and security of the workforce as a member of the Physical Security team and provide verbal guidance/assistance to command visitors. You will provide access control measures at the front desk, ensuring the safety and security of the workforce and protection of the command's information and assets. You will be responsible for tracking the status of on-hand supplies required for badging and identification. You will conduct security surveys and vulnerability assessments.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or NK-01 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Implementing physical security policies and procedures concerning access control systems and programs involving physical access to buildings, spaces and areas. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Education

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify for the position based on education. Education obtained must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. To qualify based on education, applicant must possess:
