You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT in the Command Security Branch of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.

Duties

You will be responsible for the accounting and control of all classified documents under the purview of MCINCR/MCBQ and those organizations which have Security Servicing Agreements (SSA’s). You will ensure that all documents are processed into the computer data base and monitor the dissemination and absolute control of classified material at the Secondary Control Points (SCP’s). You will conduct inventories and inspections of those on-site activities that hold classified material (SCP’s), ensuring compliance with accounting and control requirements for classified material. You will provide technical training to approximately (8) secondary control points and contractors to include arranging and scheduling training classes for assigned Security Manager, SCP’s, and Derivative Classifiers as required.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing security administrative duties, information security program functions, and classified material preparation within the Command as well as supporting tenant organizations within the National Capital Region.
