About the Position: This position serves as SENIOR MODELS AND SIMULATIONS ANALYST for U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command in Army Futures and Concepts Center located at Fort Bliss, TX.

Duties

Serves as the Deputy Division Chief, Senior Models and Simulations Analysts in the Models and Simulations (M and S) Division in Joint Modernization Command (JMC). Formulates plans, policies, and procedures consistent with M and S missions and directives from higher headquarters. Incumbent serves as a supervisor, engaged in management, review, oversight and advisory work of the division. Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the work of the division in support of Joint, Service, Army, US Army Futures Command, and Joint Modernization Command missions and functions. Provides M and S knowledge and expertise in development of policies, procedures, and processes pertaining to JMC M and S Army Strategy, collaborative environments that support JMC. Recommendations, decisions, and findings are reviewed in terms of effective accomplishment of objectives and for general conformance to policy. Supports HQDA G8 Army Modeling and Simulation Office in understanding technical approaches, issues, and priorities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
