This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS).
The primary purpose of this position to serve as Policy Planning Analyst, with the Policy and Delegation Management Division, Policy, Communications and Engagement (PCE) Directorate.

Duties
As a Policy Planning Analyst, GS-0301-13, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Preparing properly formatted documentation for routing and approval by agency executives.
Analyzing inventory of delegations, the status, trends, progress against program goals, and results.
Conducting long term planning associated with management of delegations by agency regions; to forecast future agency acquisition, funding, and staffing requirements.
Scheduling tasks, monitors input, and coordinates approval for policy actions to ensure timely completion

Requirements

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as:
Reviewing requests for delegations received from external departments and agencies.
Advising agency leadership on actions and risks associated with issuing, denying, and cancelling delegations of authority.
Managing the delegation of law enforcement and security services program for all General Services Administration-owned or leased property.

Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement.
