Duties

Implement traffic management plans, programs, policies, procedures, transportation management systems. Execute personal property movement and storage functions for the entire Area of Responsibility (AOR) and reviews excess cost inquiries. Provide technical and functional assistance to the supervisor in regards to making decisions related to the movement, payment and/or storage of personal property to other staff agencies. Conduct examinations of voucher documents in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures. Determine appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable problems and performs follow-up. Monitor reports of shipment discrepancies (shortages and damages), late deliveries, and inadequate equipment to detect trends in carrier performance.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Tier 3 (Secret) clearance.
  • This position requires the incumbent to satisfactorily complete Contracting Officers Representative (COR) instruction/training classes determined appropriate and within identified time period by supervisor and/or contracting officials.
  • This position requires the incumbent to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station to commercial TSPs/Contractors offices / training locations by various means including commercial and government aircraft, or motor vehicles within the AOR.
  • This position requires the incumbent to occasionally work in a warehouse or receiving areas.
  • This position requires the incumbent to serve a one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties unless previously completed.
  • This position requires the incumbent to travel (TDY) up to 10 % of the time.

(NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
