As an Administrative Support Assistant with the Spacecraft and Vehicle Systems Department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative, secretarial, logistical, and procurement support services for the organization(s) to which assigned. The work requires judgment, discretion, and knowledge of agency and administrative principles, concepts, policies and objectives.
Duties
Manages executive calendars. Independently performs research and logistic arrangements for scheduled tasks. Selects proper procedures and guidelines needed to resolve, organize, or coordinate a variety of office related tasks.
Arranges meeting space, speakers and support details for meetings, activities, and large conferences. Attends meetings, captures minutes, notes actions, informs staff of deliverables and arranges for follow through.
Prepares ad hoc and reoccurring reports, forms, correspondence, and presentation materials. Creates executive correspondence; reviews all documents for correct format, grammar and spelling.
Works with travel coordinator to make travel reservations, complete travel authorizations, collect receipts, and complete travel vouchers.
Handles day to day administrative responsibilities for the Directorate management and staff, such as directing phone calls, receive and greet visitors, sorting and distributing incoming mail, and maintaining electronic and hardcopy files and records.
Coordinates and tracks internal and external action items (ie center-wide action item tracking system (CAITS), customer actions, etc.) to closure.
Coordinates procurement of hardware, software, office supplies, and other items per government regulations and as requested by division personnel and others.
Evaluates and improves office operations for organization with varying functions performed in subordinate offices.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-07, you must have:
a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level:
Performing administrative and office operations in a business setting, such as maintaining an executive calendar, official record and supply management, and/or coordinating conferences and/or meetings;
Working with internal and external customers to complete tasks, projects, and/or assignments;
Utilizing Microsoft suite to generate work products such as reports, spreadsheets, documents, forms, etc.
