About the Position: Provides a full range of administrative and management support to the EM CX staff. Management support requires knowledge of the EM CX mission, functions, policies, procedures and operations, along with knowledge of the nationwide programs supported by the EM CX. Advanced in Hire or Incentives may be approved.

Duties

Developing standard operating procedures for administrative functions. Establishing controls to ensure compliance with regulations, directives, and policies. Preparing of routine correspondence, travel orders, and timekeeping entries. Tracking and maintaining inventory for the organization. Coordinating and tracking personnel training records.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be a qualified typist.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting administrative and procedural guidance to provide assistance to staff regarding such as training, travel, telework, timekeeping, leave, inventory, and personnel procedures; ensuring leadership are informed of deficiencies and violations; utilizing automated systems to maintain files and records; establishing necessary controls to ensure compliance with governing regulations, directives, and policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Human Resources or a similar field of study. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementClericalOral CommunicationOrganizational Awareness Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-6).
