This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA Global, Business Operations Division, Security Management Branch (RN11).
Duties
Manages and controls all classified intelligence documents and material assigned to DISA Global.
Helps direct and control the planning, development, implementation, and administration of physical security measures in all SCI areas and SCIFs.
Provides initial security screening and security clearance access level of personnel to determine security investigative requirements and eligibility for SCI Facility (SCIF) and intelligence-based systems access.
Communicates with base authorities and other DoD agencies to ensure compliance with requirements.
Provides recommendations to leadership based on results from problems identified during inspections and surveys.
Advises Commander leadership on all SCI-related security issues and develops and conducts information security training.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Shift work required.
- Top Secret /Sensitive Compartmented Information TS/SCI is required.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) is required.
- In accordance with VOL II, JTR, employee may be required to travel by regularly scheduled commercial passenger or military aircraft in the performance of their assignments.
- This is a Mission Essential position.
- This is a drug test position.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-11, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as experience managing and controlling classified intelligence documents; monitoring emergency management programs to ensure adherence with guidelines and screening personnel to ensure eligibility to access SCI and SCI Facilities (SCIF), and; administering physical security measures in SCI areas and SCIFs.

Education
GG-11 Substitution of Education for Experience: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement. .
