This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This Logistics Management Specialist position is assigned to the Program Executive Office, Command Control Communications-Tactical Network (PEO C3T), PMO Mission Command, Readiness Management Division, located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Duties

Provide overall direction and guidance for the development and implementation of a comprehensive product support strategy for the materiel throughout the system life cycle. Establish the goals of the organization by planning, directing, and controlling the allocation and utilization of all authorized resources. Provides support for management and interface with logistics element managers, contract support services, training facilities, Integrated Logistics Support Management organizations and other users from contractor facilities and government activities. Coordinates with representatives concerning precedent setting, controversial, sensitive and/or complex issues and their impact on military requirements, various and different functions, Congressional concerns, and private sector organizations.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
• You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
• Selectees must meet position requirements for Advanced certification in the Acquisition Career Field Life Cycle Logistics within 48 months of entrance on duty.
• Business travel required up to 25% of the time.
• Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 level in the federal service which includes: 1) Directs, develops, and performs logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or Integrated Product Support (IPS); 2) Responsible for integrated product support for complex, major weapon systems from concept through field deployment; 3) Manages the processes of planning, directing, managing, monitoring, evaluating and correcting ILS/IPS deficiencies throughout the research, development and acquisition process; and 4) Coordinates with representatives of other components and organizations concerning precedent setting, controversial, sensitive and/or complex issues and their impact on military requirements, various and different functions, Congressional concerns, and private sector organizations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 or GS-11 equivalent.
