Duties
This position is located under the Office of Science and Technology, Data Management Division,
Data Analytics Branch in Washington, District of Columbia.
Qualifications
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.
To qualify for the GS-13, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12. Specialized experience for the position includes:
Describing business use cases/outcomes, data sources and management concepts, and analytical approaches/options; and
Developing logical data models to be translated into workable physical database schema and structures in the database development process; and
Planning, organizing, and conducting studies are complicated by conflicting program goals and objectives which may derive from changes in legislative or regulatory guidelines, productivity, and or variations in the demand of services; and
Making recommendations that give consideration and appropriate weight to uncertainties about the data and other variables, which affect long-range system performance; and
Communicating orally and written, including the skill to explain data management concepts and technologies to senior management officials.
