Duties
Additional Information: Band 3 Logistics Officers analyze and coordinate logistical functions for facilities, equipment sites, and globally deployed resources to meet current and emerging customer needs. They select methods and techniques to plan, organize, and execute logistics support activities, including supply chain management, inventory management, accountable records management, contract property administration, government property disposal, asset management and management of the Lost, Damaged, and Destroyed Program. Experience in logistics information systems, Enterprise resource planning (ERP) Property Management software system, Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) software system, In Transit Visibility (ITV), Automated Identification Technology (AIT), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). Upon placement into this position, the incumbent will receive notification of DAWIA certification requirement Life Cycle Logistics Foundational as required by SIO leadership. Qualifications
MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online resumes must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement's mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement: 1. Demonstrated experience in property management practices and/or advising customers on logistical requirements and capabilities.2. Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and/or in writing with co-workers, leadership, customers, and mission partners on logistics related matters.3. Demonstrated experience in logistics support activities (i.e., inventory management, distribution management, warehouse management, transportation, government property disposal to include Lost, Damaged, and Destroyed (LDD), accountable property records management, and/or contract property administration).4. Demonstrated experience as an Asset Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Life cycle logistician (LCL), Logistics Officer, Property Administrator, and/or Plant Clearance Officer. 5. Demonstrated experience in logistics information systems, Enterprise resource planning (ERP) Property Management software system, Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) software system, In-transit Visibility (ITV), Automated Identification Technology (AIT), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and/or Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience in logistics or supply chain management, or a related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, or a related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. -AND- LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: DAWIA certification may be required for this position; see Position License and Certification Requirements below for additional details.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Demonstrated an understanding of DoD logistics policies implementing Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), as the relate to Government Furnished Property (GFP) and the Financial Management Regulations (FMR) as it relates to Capitalized Property.2. Demonstrated experience in data management and performing data analysis on large logistical population of data.3. Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating and evaluating logistical actions required to support missions, systems, or programs.4. Demonstrated experience in Lean supply chain management practices, Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) practices, and understanding the flow of goods from Acquire to Retire (A2R)/cradle to grave.5. Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Certified Life Cycle Logistics (LCL), Foundational.
