About the Position: Serves as Deputy Director, Academic Affairs, with responsibility for numerous different and processes/ methods related to the training and administration within the University. The scope and complexity of duties require the supervision of military and civilian personnel engaged in analyses, design, instruction, CDIO and curriculum development, training management, Registrar operations, colleges/universities coordination/liaison, Outreach and civilian accreditation programs.

Duties

Conduct strategic business planning to effect successful operations and programs. Coordinate the efforts of diverse groups to accomplish goals and objectives. Develop policies for an educational program to comply with laws, guidelines, directive, regulations, or initiatives. Adjust organization or work priorities quickly in response to a new mission or requirements. Interpret higher level Headquarters regulations, policies, and procedures to adapt them to meet mission requirements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
