About the Position: Serves as Chief, Training Integration and Quality Assurance Division, Training and Doctrine Directorate, G-3/5/7, U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command, with executive level responsibility and authority to conduct liaison with U.S. Army Centers and Schools, CAC, TRADOC, AMC, DA, DOD and civilian agencies on all matters pertaining to training programs, training development initiatives, emerging programs and systems, and quality assurance.
Duties
Synchronize the work of multiple organizations to support development and execution of course curriculum.
Manage the learning management system to support the design and administration of a course.
Analyze multiple indicators of learner achievement, trends, and disaggregated data to make informed decisions and develop plans for improvement.
Exercise position management responsibilities to ensure proper staffing of the organization and assignment of duties.
Represent the organization or department at professional meetings and conferences.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Training Development Specialist:
A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, such as Instructional Design, Adult Education, Business Administration, Management.
OR
B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, such as Instructional Design, Adult Education, Business Administration, Management, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year course of study described in A above.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience such as managing, directing, coordinating, evaluating, and/or supervising training development and delivery activities, performing analysis, design, and/or development of training and training products, conducting training integration/synchronization to ensure emerging requirements or guidance from higher headquarter is implemented and training trends are captured in training development, and developing course of action for training/process improvements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
