About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Medical Center Madigan, Directorate of Ecexutieve, Provost Marshal, Tacoma, Washington.

Duties

Serve as technical advisor to the security team regarding technical reviews of new equipment considering needs, environment, available facilities, network requirements, quality, repair ability, purchase, etc., and overall life cycle management. Subsequent to purchase, takes appropriate action to enter equipment into use. Set up and installs new security devices/systems. Determine schedule of preventive maintenance and formulates methods and techniques to perform all maintenance, identifying what needs to be checked on the equipment. Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, overhaul, and surveillance testing of electronic components, and systems, and modifications based on official guidance.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination.
• Must possess a valid civilian/military driver's license and may be required to obtain a military/commercial driver's license for heavy or special purpose vehicles.
• A pre-employment medical examination is required.
• This position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes installing and maintaining various professional security systems (i,e, Video surveillance System, physical access control systems, and various other intruder detection and prevention forms, Intrusion Detection Systems, and HUGS band security systems) and diagnose, repair, calibrate, and test electronic security equipment/system.
