This position is located in the Logistics Compliance Branch (LCB) of the Asset Logistics Division (ALD) at the U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), located in Baltimore, MD.

Qualifications

Applicants at the GS-12 level must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the federal service. Examples of specialized experience includes work that required: Examples of specialized experience includes work that required: -Knowledge of shipboard equipment, equipment maintenance, equipment recapitalization and associated logistics support requirements. -Knowledge of shipboard configuration and supply management procedures and processes in an automated environment. -Knowledge of supply and logistics data management concepts, policies and procedures related to inventory management, warehousing, requisitioning services, transportation and/or procurement information. -Knowledge of the Federal Supply Stock System and USCG requisitioning processes and procedures; to include, understanding the functionality and operations of the Mandatory Turn-ins (MTIs) Program, Quality Deficiency Reporting (QDR), Supply Discrepancy Reporting (SDR), and Transportation Discrepancy Reporting (TDR) programs. -Experience with equipment provisioning processes, data requirements, technical coding determinations and cataloging functions as it pertains to the registering and loading managed material into both the Federal Supply Stock System via the Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS), and into local USCG SFLC supply support IT systems of record. -Experience with auditing inventory, procurement, financial, and supply support records and information in order to evaluate if proper valuation methods are being applied to ensure Chief Financial Officer (CFO) compliance for Inventory Control Point (ICP) stocked material. -Experience with developing new and/or updating current operating instructions, process guides, desk guides and/or procedural manuals, and with providing follow-on training as it pertains to supply, logistics and inventory management programs. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.  If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
