Duties
This position supervises the Supply Branch of the Industrial Department at the Coast Guard YARD in Baltimore, Maryland. Also manages an inventory ("Retail Inventory") of recurring and one-time use material that is acquired, stored, and issued to support immediate and future YARD Industrial Operations.Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Qualifications
For the GS-13: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include: Managing a staff of supply/inventory/finance workers; overseeing compliance in accordance with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Act of 1990; conducting financial audits, reporting results, and taking corrective action; conducting supply / inventory audits, reporting results, and taking corrective action; analyzing a variety of unusual supply management and financial problems, questions, or conditions.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized Training Required within 36 months of hiring:
Certified as a Department of Homeland Security COR Level III (Services)
Certified as a Department of Homeland Security Program Manager Level II.
Certified as a Department of Homeland Security Life Cycle Logistics Manager Level
