Serves as a Cyberspace Operations Technical Lead and senior deployed civilian at the GG-14 grade level responsible for planning, assigning, and leading the work of civilian and military analysts and operators executing Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) and Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) Operations.
Duties
You will direct the work of teams collecting information from a variety of Defense Cyber Operation resources.
You will identify and analyze malicious and/or anomalous network activity.
You will conduct cyber threat detection and analysis action in support of Defense Cyber Operations.
You will develop countermeasures and network defense strategies to mitigate identified cyber threat activity.
You will routinely engage with internal and external stakeholders to overcome issues affecting personnel, equipment, and training shortfalls.
You will lead procurement, sustainment, and requirements generation for equipment necessary to conduct operations.
You will design and facilitate individual, small group and team cyber training scenarios to sustain and increase proficiency across all mission areas.
You will analyze assigned billets, manning and projected rotations to determine effectiveness and prevent future issues.
You will characterize and attribute cyber incidents.
You will use information collected from a variety of computer network defense resources to identify, analyze, and report events that occur or might occur within their environment.
You will issue products containing information related to indications and warnings of emerging threats and vulnerabilities, incident response and cyber threat
analysis in accordance with policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS Trial Period.
- This position may require work outside of traditional working hours (Mon-Fri 0800-1600).
- This position may require a polygraph examination.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

In addition to your experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS/GG-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
Leading, managing, assigning and planning the work of personnel to ensure proper distribution levels.
Developing tools and techniques to identify vulnerabilities within network devices and operating systems.
Utilizing information collected from a variety of computer network defense resources to identify, analyze and report events that occur within an environment.
Designing and facilitating individual, small group and team cyber training scenarios to sustain and increase proficiency across all mission areas.
Identifying and analyzing malicious and/or anomalous network activity.
