This position is located in the IMDF - Delivery Unit, Inventory Management and Doc Fulfillment Section, Collections Management Division, Preservation Directorate, Discovery And Preservation Services.
Duties
The position serves as a Delivery Team Leader responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activity of the IMDF Delivery Technicians, who provide a variety of support services relating to the routing of Library materials. The position is located in the Inventory Management & Doc Fulfillment Section (IMDF), Collection Management Division (CMD), Preservation Directorate (PRES), Discovery and Preservation Services within the Library Collections and Services Group (LCSG) at the Library of Congress (LC).
Qualifications
Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to organize, plan, direct, and review the work of team members.**
Knowledge of principles and practices for managing library collections. **
Ability to use integrated library system (ILS), other computerized search tools and databases.
Knowledge of library processes and procedures.
Ability to interact collaboratively with others.
Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
