About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. Duties
Prepare applicable reports and documentation, as required.
Apply electronic theories to determine the necessary modification needed to accomplish task.
Assure that all required modification work orders have been applied and necessary records updated.
Provide recommendations on new modified testing and repairing procedures for maintenance process.
Inspect systems to determine if necessary modifications have been accomplished, are acceptable and require a change.
Assure that all test and measuring equipment used in the maintenance process is properly maintained in a current calibration and meets latest required configuration.
Perform in-process inspection in the shop and on site of repair, modification, overhaul and/or rebuild of the complete systems of electronics and related equipment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. (NACI)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
- Require the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
- This position is subject to Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel up to 10%. Subject to travel CONUS and OCONUS locations on short notice.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.
- This position requires a deployment physical examination for traveling OCONUS.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 44 lbs. in the performance of duties. Occasionally lifts heavier items with assistance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government travel card (GTC).
- Position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
- Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years and can be made permanent without further competition.
- Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years but cannot be made permanent.
- Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Electronic Integrated Systems Repair Inspector without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform common Electronic Integrated System Repair Inspector duties which includes performing overhauls, spot checks, and maintaining complex electronic integrated systems. I can repair complex electronic integrated systems by rebuilding, modifying, installing, etc. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Normally moderate to high physical effort is required in lifting and carrying items weighing from 10 to 44 pounds and occasionally items 45-75 pounds and above. Required to stoop, bend, stand, and work in close quarters. Some assignments require climbing on items. Wears and utilizes required safety devices and equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works inside and outside at various locations and in all kinds of weather. Subject to cuts and bruises from use of hand and power tools and to electrical shock.
Education
