Duties
This position is located under the Office of Science and Technology (OST), Data Management Division (DMD) in Washington, District of Columbia.
Serving as the Deputy Division Chief for the Data Management Division reporting to the Division Chief, The Deputy carries the same authority as the Division Chief. Serving as a leader who will use the organization's data assets and external data ecosystem to create valuable business intelligence that will enable the organization's leadership to make decision on how to focus law enforcement, regulatory and administrative efforts to best support the mission of ATF.
Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have IT related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
Basic Requirements allow eligibility through Educations or Experience.

Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

In addition to meeting the above Basic Requirement:
To qualify for 15, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience include:
Planning, developing, implementing, and regulating Data Management and Data Analytics programs; AND
Managing contracts, leases, and equipment ensuring contract management, for either follows regulations and policies; AND
Working with management to develop budget estimates, budget request for new programs, and spending plans; AND
Collaborating within others to meet analytical needs, modernize business process, enhance data quality and operational maturity in overall data lifecycle.
