This position is located a the Lebanon, PA VAMC within the Program and Management Assistant is to provide and assist the Women's Veterans Program Manager (WVPM) with critical administrative and clerical duties and coordinate administrative policies to assist staff with understanding and following care processes, regulations and service policies.
Duties
Major duties and responsibilities will include:
Prepares a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring correspondence, reports, and other
documents.
Keeps/types meeting minutes, agendas and reports
Collects, assembles, and compiles data for administrative and management reports
Assist with calling/tracking mammograms and cervical cancer screenings
Demonstrates time management and organizational skills and ability to work independently,
with a high degree of flexibility.
Responsible for counseling residents treatment plan and programs
Provides assistance to other programs to assist in maintaining Women's Health metrics as
need arises.
Uses a computer to maintain and print documents and files.
Assist community outreach events and direct donations from the community partners to the
voluntary Officer.
Supports VA Mission and goals of building and sustaining a high reliability culture.
Participation in projects will include identification of opportunities to improve the Women's
Health Department
Communicates with internal and external customers to facilitate medical center goals and
mission.
Informs supervisor and/or team leader of difficult and/or controversial issues.
Responds to solve problems before they have an adverse impact on the organization or other
employees.
Promote patient safety, employee and Veteran satisfaction to improve quality of care.
Maintains confidentiality of all reports generated from the Women's Health Program.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, .
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-5 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: data tracking and reporting, meeting coordination, attendance and minute taking, filing, managing calendars and schedules of program managers, time keeping, ordering of supplies, office support duties.
