This position is located within a National Forest. The primary purpose of this position is to perform office automation duties that include word processing and other general clerical work.
Duties
Uses word processing software and printing equipment to create, copy, edit, make insertions or deletions or move material from one place to another.
Store, retrieve, and print a variety of standardized documents using a glossary of prerecorded formats, form letters, standard paragraphs, and mailing lists.
Answers a telephone and receives visitors. Refers inquiries to others for action.
Opens and date stamps incoming mail for action or distribution. Checks outgoing mail for signature, address, and enclosures and prepares for mailing.
Transmits, receives, and acknowledges electronic mail messages.
Files correspondence, reports, and similar materials where established subject-matter breakdowns are easily identified. Copies, assembles, and distributes material.
Requirements
- You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.

- Must be 18 years of age.

GS-02: Applicants must have three months of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work which provided the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position being filled and/or high school graduation or equivalent.
