About the Position: This positions serves as a senior Human Resources Specialist specializing in Civilian Human Resources Program Management within an assigned Defense Health Agency's Region. The incumbent is responsible for researching human resources regulations and providing expert level consultation to Network leadership.

Duties

Provide authoritative interpretation and instructions on laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Determine deficiencies to recommend improvement of personnel practices. Develop plans to achieve consistency, innovation, and standardization through the assigned healthcare network. Prepare reports for leadership to explain operational analyses. Assist in developing policies for implementation in the healthcare network. Analyze new, proposed, or recent legislation(s) that affect the organization. Review existing policies to ensure compliance with over-arching regulations.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Up to 10% Business Travel required.
