Duties
This position is located in the Office of Administrative Law Judges (OALJ). OALJ is charged with resolving cases set for hearing concerning natural gas, oil, electric, and hydroelectric matters. OALJ resolves these matters in a manner that is consistent with the public interest, protects customers, and promotes competitive markets. This position supports OALJ's mission by assisting the Chief Administrative Law Judge and Managing Attorney with tracking OALJ's workload and the status of various cases. More specifically, the job duties include reviewing orders issued by both OALJ and the Commission to determine the procedural status of cases and the appropriate dockets or sub-dockets for such cases. In addition, the Management and Program Analyst performs a data entry function by entering the relevant case information into the agency's case tracking database. Such information includes the type of case, docket numbers, and various milestones for hearing and settlement cases. The Management and Program Analyst also produces various workload and case tracking reports while continuously verifying the accuracy of existing reports. Finally, the position entails working with the judges and their teams to answer questions about docketing and OALJ procedures as well as other duties as assigned.
Requirements

You must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 level. Specialized experience is defined as: experience providing support in areas of policies and programs, training and administrative tasks. You could also qualify through education.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
